State Athletics Representatives

Congratulations to 2 of our amazing athletes who represented our School & the Western Region at the State Athletics Carnival in October.

Ella is off to the National Athletics Championships after her superb effort!

K-4 Swimming Program

Our Students have been having a blast as they participate in our K-4 swimming program. They are building water confidence, essential skills and having some serious fun growing their swimming abilities!

Eisteddfod Performances

Our school’s participation in the eisteddfod was a wonderful showcase of talent from our choir, band, dance groups, as well as individual class and stage groups. Students represented our school fantastically. With a variety of performances and range of successes celebrated, this event provided a great opportunity for students to shine, build confidence, and come together as a vibrant creative community. Well done to all involved!

Principal's Network Day

We welcomed both Primary & Secondary Principals from Bathurst and surrounds along with our Director of Educational Leadership for their term meeting.

Our students opened the meeting with our Acknowledgement to Country and our Waggambirra Dancers performed.

Schools Spectacular

A group of excited students have worked tirelessly to polish their performance for the Schools Spectacular Arena shows which are held on 28 and 29 November. We have joined in cluster rehearsals with other talented performers from Bathurst & Orange and cannot wait to hit the main stage!

Debating Success

History has been made!! For the first time ever, Western NSW has taken home the trophy at the Primary Schools State Debating Championships!

Congratulations to Western NSW, and a huge Congratulations to our very own Ms Brown & Annabella.

NAIDOC Week

Our students proudly marked the beginning of NAIDOC Week by joining a march alongside other local schools in Bathurst.

At Bathurst West Public School, we are honoured to celebrate and embrace the rich culture of our First Nations families during this special week.

Grandparents Day

We always love a visit from our Grandparents! Our students are so proud and excited to show off their classrooms, school work and artistic flair. Our corridor turns in to and ode to some of our favourite people.

A shared picnic and some delicious cupcakes from our bake sale = a perfect day!

Year 6 Mini Fete

The Year 6 Mini Fete was a fantastic success! Our students showed incredible organisation and enthusiasm throughout the event. With great teamwork and creativity, they ran a variety of stalls. Most importantly, everyone had a fun and memorable time celebrating together. Well done, Year 6!

Festival of Choral Music

Our Choir, Miss Cassidy and Ms Brown travelled to Sydney and sang their hearts out in front of a sold out audience of thousands at the Sydney Opera House. Our Students performed as a part of a combined choir with students from all around NSW. It was a huge day and our Students represented our school with pride.

Canberra Excursion

Our year 5 students had an action packed time away in Canberra. They visited the Australian Institute of Sport, The War Memorial, Parliament House, Questacon and had a day at the snow!

Bathurst West at Pulse Alive!

We have 34 of our talented students travel to Sydney Olympic park to participate in the large-scale NSW public school performing arts event. Students were involved in the massed choir and dance groups and an amazing time representing our school
